Washington DC ArchAngels
The Washington DC ArchAngels identifies top U.S. and global investment-ready companies and connects them with an active investment community, focused on early-stage enterprises. Hundreds of investors in the Washington, DC region and around the U.S. participate with the Washington DC ArchAngels to seek out the “best-of-the-best” companies. Members, primarily serial entrepreneurs themselves, focus on company building rather than just providing resources for funding. These Members want to build “successful companies”, rather than “picking winners.”
Since our launch in 2011, our Members have referred more than 9,000 companies for review by our group. About 10% of those companies (800+) were selected and reviewed as investment candidates. Of those 800+ candidates, many received Angel Funding, 120 of them were acquired by another entity and 5 ultimately launched IPOs. Industry sector interests, of our Members, for investment potential have included: IT, social media, eCommerce, life science, nanotech, energy, aerospace, and other emerging industry sectors.
